Small group of Manchester United fans hold protest against Glazers at Old Trafford
A small group of Manchester United supporters on Saturday protested against the club’s owners at Old Trafford. With United not in action during the international break, a protest had been planned on social media by fans as they continue to voice their opposition to the Glazer family. Green and gold images – which have been synonymous with previous protests in reference to the club’s original colours when they were founded as Newton Heath – were shared along with the #GlazerOut hashtag by supporters as the protest was organised for 3pm outside the club’s ground. Some of the images shared also contained the #OleOut hashtag as some fans called for a change in manager amid the ongoing pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but were met with criticism. Nevertheless, a small group of supporters congregated outside of Old Trafford, with footage of the protest being shared on social media.
